Carbometrics

Carbometrics is a specialist chemistry company based in Bristol, UK.  Our core competency is the design, synthesis and derivatisation of highly selective and robust carbohydrate-binding molecules. One subset of these molecules – our family of glucose binding molecules (GBMs) – exhibits unprecedented selectivity for glucose. It is unaffected by pH and is highly chemically and thermally stable.  Our approach to designing GBMs is completely novel and distinct from those used in incumbent glucose sensing technologies that are based on boronic acids, proteins or enzymes.
